About Us

Dr Mayra Austin

Hello!

I’m Dr. Mayra Austin, CEO and Founder of Management Cues. After years of navigating the workforce, scaling businesses, and developing managers and leaders, I faced a life-changing brain surgery in 2020. This experience inspired me to share the insights I gained throughout my journey through Management Cues.

With my unique background as a female manager of color, my operational perspective, and my first-generation grit, I acquired skills that enabled me to rapidly ascend to executive leadership and empower others to do the same. I realized that my approach to training consistently delivered successful outcomes and could be further refined to create measurable results and a clear return on investment for others.

Vision & Mission

Vision

To be the leading management training and development innovator who creates a space where all managers can succeed equitably and can feel heard and seen.

Mission

We’re head over heels in love with management! We design and develop management training programs, products, and tools that reinvigorate managers and allow them to gain self-awareness in the role they play in the workforce.

We show managers that owning their role of manager can impact many lives positively, including their own!

Our Manifesto

Management is movement. It is about setting things in motion.

What was once a PowerPoint slide or an idea in a brainstorm session through vibrant effective management turns into a product, a campaign, a new system.

But who makes the movement…. move? People do.

People who come together with their talents, their resources, their ingenuity, and they make it happen. Fueled by their passion and driven by their goals making the world go round.

But movement can only be complete when all the pieces are in place. Skip just one and the whole gets disrupted. It only takes one person in the wrong role to undo the work of dozens of people in the right role.

You’ve seen it happen! Maybe you’re living it right now. It doesn’t have to be like that. It should never be like that. You don’t have to “suck it up” and “power through” until better times come. Don’t wait!

Make better times yourself.

Management should be seen as a privilege and not something for the privileged.

Anyone can excel at it; including you, especially YOU. It’s never too late to become the best manager you can be.

You already have what’s most important: the will to do it.

Together, we will finish your training.

Creativity, forward thinking, work ethic these are all traits that when combined become groundbreaking management cues that will help you achieve your own success, without leaving anyone behind.

When we’re done you’ll have the missing piece. Better yet, you will be the missing piece.

If good management is all about movement, then…

You will find yourself moving mountains.

That's it. Your move.
